Terms:

Sales Tax

Maryland 6% sales tax will be added to all in-state sales. If you neglect to check the calculate sales tax box when placing your order and your order is an in-state sale (billed to a Maryland address or delivered to a Maryland address), we will add the sales tax to your order.
 

Order Processing Time

Unfortunately, we are unable to do same-day delivery at this time. All orders require 24 business hours to process. Most in-stock baskets are available for shipping or hand delivery in 48 hours or less. In order to assure freshness your gift basket is assembled when ordered. Custom gift baskets may require more processing time. Please refer to shipping chart for estimated travel times. Add an additional day to estimate for order processing. Please place orders early during peak holiday seasons. Please allow at least 5-7 business days for orders greater than 10 baskets.
 

Substitutions

Our catalog contains pictures of items we have created. Your gift basket may vary slightly due to product availability; however, quality will never be compromised. Substitutions will be of equal or greater value.  We cannot ship chocolates under certain weather conditions.

 

Hand Delivery

Please visit our hand delivery page for a list of local hand delivery zip codes. Unfortunately, we are unable to provide same-day hand delivery. It is your responsibility to provide correct shipping/delivery information.  Accurate and complete information is required to avoid additional fees as well as delays in your order.  Be sure to include accurate delivery information including full name, street address, apartment #, suite #, zip code, etc. If possible include recipient's telephone number as well as your day-time telephone number. It is our policy to obtain a signature when doing hand deliveries. We do not leave packages at a residential or commercial address unless specifically requested by the recipient.

 

HOTEL HAND DELIVERY- We are not responsible for gift baskets after they have been hand delivered and signed for by hotel personnel. It is the responsibility of the personnel of the hotel to notify the guest that there is a package at the front desk. We do not offer refunds for packages not forwarded to hotel guests once the responsibility has been assumed by hotel personnel.

 

 

Shipping

Contact us to discuss shipping and delivery options.  Oversized items may require additional shipping charges.  If your order is an oversized item and your shipping charge is more than the $14.95 max quoted in the shopping cart, we will notify you prior to processing your order.  Ask about our discount when hand delivering multiple baskets to one location. (limited delivery area)

 

It is your responsibility to provide correct shipping/delivery information.  Accurate and complete information is required to avoid additional fees as well as delays in your order.  Be sure to include accurate shipping information including full name, street address, apartment #, suite #, zip code, etc. If possible include recipients telephone number as well as your day-time telephone number.  If an item is returned to us due to incorrect shipping address or recipient refusal, we will charge a re-delivery fee.  If an item is forwarded by UPS due to incorrect shipping information, a $10.00 address correction fee is charged to us and in turn will be charged to you.    

 

We cannot provide a refund on delivery or shipping charges. We are not responsible for packages unclaimed from post offices or FedEx offices. If packages are returned to us because they were unclaimed, we can arrange to have the gift sent to an alternate address for an additional shipping fee. We do not offer refunds because a package was not claimed by your recipient. 

 

Baskets may need to be shipped in a separate box for safety.

 

Hospital Deliveries

We do not recommend shipping to patients in hospitals.  We cannot guarantee shipping/delivery to hospital patients.  It is your responsibility to provide accurate name and room information for hand deliveries.  You are responsible for insuring that the patient has not been discharged prior to delivery.  We cannot refund delivery charges if the patient has been discharged before delivery.  Gifts can be shipped to a home address; however an additional shipping fee will be charged. Each facility has its own policy regarding deliveries to patients.  Some facilities do not allow deliveries to patient's rooms. Therefore, in some cases gifts are left at a receiving dock or with front desk personnel.  JH Custom Designs is not responsible for items once they have been received as required by the facility.  We suggest that you send gift baskets to the patient's home if possible or a nearby family member to hand deliver to the hospital.  (Please call for further details regarding specific facilities in our local delivery area)

 

Cancellations

Your gift basket will be handmade when you place your order. Please notify us by telephone immediately if you need to cancel your order. We make every effort to process all in-stock orders within 24 hours.  There is a 20% restocking fee if your basket has been assembled and you need to cancel your order prior to shipping/delivery. Once your gift basket has been shipped/delivered, you cannot cancel your order for any reason.  
     

Damages

We must receive notification of damaged products within 48 hours of delivery. For products damaged during shipping, please keep all original packing material for courier inspection in order to file a claim with our shipper.
